Eleanor Mary Cepko loves germinating visceral textures just as much as clean architectural lines though she loves them even more together. She lives for the raw, the messy, the refined, the deteriorating, the shiny, and especially the strange. Within Eleanor’s multimedia practice, form, line, color, texture and materiality interplay to create compositions that pique the viewer’s curiosity. Eleanor graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2016 with a BFA in ceramics. Since graduating Eleanor has completed residencies in Maine, Iceland, and Finland; in 2018 she will relocate to Bali to work at the Gaya Ceramic Arts Center. She currently creates and teaches in Boston with her beloved muses: Sterling and Sylvester, a pair of naked sphynx cats.
